Easter Fun and Games

Our featured photo shows members of Ballee 60+ Club enjoying their Easter Party with music, dancing and an Easter raffle. Not only did everyone have a great time but each member went home with an Easter egg. Next on the agenda for Ballee Community Association will be a very special Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration. We've heard on the grapevine that there's going to be a chocolate fountain!

Harryville also joined in on the Easter fun and Carson Project held their frist Craft Fair of the year, with local community groups and small businesses selling their handcrafted wares. Carson Project also came to the end of their 8 week children's project which was funded by Tesco 'Bags of Help'. The feedback from this project was astounding and supported over 20 children with a wide range of activities and a special trip to Carnfunnock Country Park.

Brookeville Enterprises also hosted an open day for students at Queen's University where a group of Hospitality and Tourism students came to visit Tullygarley Allotments and learn more about the importance of 'plot to plate' initiatives.

Ballykeel Together Development Association held an Easter Party for the children who attend Bright Stars Special Needs Youth Club and a great time was had by all. This Youth Club now has over 20 members and provides an invaluable service to children with autism as well as their parents and families. Also in Ballykeel, Ballykeel 1 Moving Forward Community Group delivered easter eggs to children in the estate, and Ballykeel 2 & District Community Association held a series of fun, interactive games on Facebook Live. Well done to all of our Ballymena South Cluster groups who provided some Festive fun to their communities!

We also have a couple of new pilot projects starting in Ballykeel with the Ballykeel 1 Netball Project and the Ballykeel 2 Parent and Toddlers group. For more information on either of these projects please contact us on 028 256 31350.
