February News

Now that January is over we can think about Spring and all the new life that comes with it. Members of Brookeville Enterprises had a "Sowing Day" and hosted an information session at Tullygarley Allotments with Harryville Men's Shed. Everyone had a great day and although it was a little cold, the burgers cooked by Chef Harry helped to warm them up.

Harryville Residents Association were out in full force for their first monthly clean up. They were supported with a small army of Harryville volunteers who were keen to get involved and give their area some much needed TLC. A big Thankyou and Well Done to everyone involved in this. It will be a regular monthly activity so if you would like to get involved please visit their facebook page.

Ballykeel Groups have a focus on health and fitness with Ballykeel 2 & District Community Association running their very successful Boxing Programme. This has been hugely popular with the ladies so, watch out guys! Ballykeel 1 Moving Forward are working towards offering free Netball classes. Watch this space to hear more.

Ballee Community Association will be having their Annual General Meeting on 22nd February, 7pm at Ballee Community Centre. We would love to see some new faces joining the committee and bringing your ideas and enthusiasm. Please contact Hannah on 028 256 31350 for more information. As well as that, there are some whispers that the Queen's Platinum Jubilee will be a cause for celebration. We'll fill you in when we know more about this. After the past couple of years I think we are all ready for some fun!
