Spring Ebbs...

As we come to the end of Spring, there's a sense of celebration in the air. Since our last update the Ballee 60+ Club have enjoyed a cheerful session of live music and an informative talk from Paul Black of the Mid and East Antrim PSNI on scam awareness and home safety. Now the group is very much looking forward to their imminent Jubilee Celebration today on the 1st June where they will be enjoying a lovely tea party, live music and even a chocolate fountain for afters! Elsewhere in Ballee, the Childcare Centre is getting ready to welcome a new group of possible additions to their Pre-Preschool with an open day on the same date!

Over in Harryville the Scullery O'Tullagh Allotments are in full bloom as we move into the summer months, with their upcoming Jubilee celebrations on Saturday the 4th June including the official opening of a wonderful community orchard! Additionally the Harryville Residents Association has been getting active with their "Stepping Out Together" walking group, and in full swing with preparations for the two events they are presenting in celebration of the Queen's Jubilee - A Senior Citizen's Tea Party on Friday 3rd and a Community Fun Day on Saturday 4th.

Ballykeel is in quite the flurry of excitement as May draws to a close. The Ballykeel Together Development Association also extended a warm welcome to Paul Black of the Mid and East Antrim PSNI as he came to speak with their monthly luncheon club, who also have a fun day away coming up in June, and Ballykeel 1 Moving Forward Community Group is planning a day of family fun for Saturday 4th with a festive Street Party to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. Elsewhere in Ballykeel, the Ballykeel 2 and District Community Association is a whirlwind of liveliness as the Parents and Tots group continues to be a much appreciated addition to the area and the Ballymena Belters are delivering merry melodies that bring smiles and laughter in their wake. They are also very much looking forward to the upcoming Queens Jubilee with both the anticipated unveiling of a commemerative stone remembering 100 years of Northern Ireland on Thursday 2nd and a jubilant Family Fun Day on Friday 3rd.

We here at the Ballymena South Community Cluster wish you all happy celebrations and a heartfelt congratulations to Her Majesty the Queen on her Platinum Jubilee. As we move into Summer, here's a hearty wish for warm weather and happy times! For more information about our Cluster Community activities or any questions, please contact Hannah on 02825 631 350.
